2 cyclists killed in crash with car in Putrajaya

 Police say the car crashed into the two men while changing lanes, and that the victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

PETALING JAYA:

Two cyclists were killed when a car crashed into them while changing lanes at Jalan Persiaran Selatan in Putrajaya last night.

Putrajaya police chief Aidi Sham Mohamed said initial investigations found that the car, driven by a man in his 40s, moved from the middle lane to the left lane before crashing into the two men at around 10.15pm.

“The victims, one in his 40s and the other in his 30s, were confirmed dead at the scene,” he said, adding that they suffered severe head injuries.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act for causing death by reckless driving, Harian Metro reported.

Aidi urged witnesses to come forward to assist in the investigation. - FMT
