City Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa said the incident occurred at 8.30am today.
He said the 28-year-old BMW driver was travelling from his home to work in Taman Midah 1 when the incident occurred.
"Initial investigations found that the driver is believed to have suffered a sudden seizure, causing him to lose control of the vehicle before it skidded and crashed into six vehicles parked on the left side of the road," he said in a statement today.
Mohd Zamzuri said none of the parked vehicles had drivers or passengers at the time of the incident.
He said the vehicles belonged to five individuals and a company.
"The accident only caused damage to the vehicles," he said.
Mohd Zamzuri said initial checks found that the BMW driver had a history of seizures for about 10 years.
"A breathalyser test on the driver also returned a zero reading for alcohol," he said.
He said the case had been classified under Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules (LN 166/59), with further investigations ongoing. - NST
