In a statement, it said it understood residents' concerns, particularly over the impact of new developments on traffic flow and parking capacity.
"Regarding parking provision, DBKL will discuss with the developer the construction of a five-storey parking facility, as previously decided.
"For proposed traffic management improvements, DBKL will grant approval based on the findings of the Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA)," it said.
Recently, residents in several housing areas around Bandar Tasik Selatan accused DBKL of reneging on its promise after a proposed five-storey parking facility was allegedly reduced to just one storey.
The issue has raised concerns as the area currently has about 6,500 to 7,000 residential units, with another 8,000 units under construction expected to further worsen traffic congestion and parking shortages.
DBKL said the development approval required the developer to implement all traffic improvements and mitigation measures identified in the comprehensive assessment.
"These include upgrading intersections, widening roads around the development area up to the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2), constructing a new slip road and building an alternative road linking the development directly to MRR2 to improve traffic dispersal," it said.
DBKL said it welcomed feedback from the local community and would continue engaging relevant stakeholders to find practical and balanced solutions.
