A Malaysian visitor who wished to be known as Muin, 35, said he was already at the Golok ICQS complex at 7am Malaysian time to return to Kelantan.
He said he reached Rantau Panjang safely shortly after 7am.
Muin explained that he was unable to return last night because of the curfew imposed in Golok, forcing him and his friend to check into a hotel.
He expressed relief that the situation was calm this morning and that the ICQS checkpoint opened as scheduled. - NST
