The pair’s run at the prestigious tournament was ruined by world No 1 Korean pair Kim Won Ho-Seo Seung Jae in the quarter-finals.

World No 6 duo Sze Fei-Izzuddin went down to the South Korean pair 16-21, 16-21 in 40 minutes at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi, India.
The loss means a medal at the World Championships is still elusive for the Malaysian pair whose last-eight appearance here was their best performance in this premier tournament so far.
They were eliminated in the last-16 stages in 2021, 2022 and last year.
However, this performance will strengthen Sze Fei-Izzuddin’s position in their race to qualify for the World Tour Finals (WTF) to be held in China in December.
They are currently topping this list where only the top eight will be selected to play in the WTF.
Sze Fei-Izzuddin have won two titles this year, namely the World Tour Super 500 Indonesia Masters and Super 1000 Indonesia Open championships. They were runners-up at the Super 500 Malaysia Masters. - FMT
