KUALA LUMPUR: Ten General Operations Force (GOF) members were arrested on Wednesday to assist in an investigation into an extortion case linked to an e-waste processing factory in Penang.
Bukit Aman internal security and public order department deputy director Muhammad Abdul Halim said the suspects, aged between 30 and 40, were based in Kulim, Kedah.
They ranged in ranks, from constables to inspectors.
“They were remanded for a day and released on police bail yesterday,” he said at a press conference here today.
Muhammad declined to provide further information, but said police were trying to verify certain details.
“The investigation officer and state police will take further action,” he said. - FMT
