Entrepreneur development and cooperatives minister Steven Sim says the 222 Nadi centres can help businesses with government financing, licences, and programmes.

Sim said the new Pusat Rujukan Inklusif Usahawan Madani (PRIME) service at the 222 Nadi centres nationwide would serve as one-stop points for small businesses, traders and hawkers seeking information or assistance.
“You focus on doing business. If you have any questions, come to Nadi and ask our officers,” he said at the launch of PRIME here today.
He said entrepreneurs could use the centres to enquire about financing, licences, training, digitalisation and other forms of government assistance without having to approach different agencies.
“So, please come to the 222 Nadi centres. We have trained officers to answer your questions, especially on applications from entrepreneurs and small businesses,” he said.
PRIME is an initiative led by the National Entrepreneurial Institute in strategic collaboration with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission, aimed at turning Nadi centres into community-level one-stop referral points for entrepreneurs.
MCMC provides Nadi network and facilities nationwide, while INSKEN provides entrepreneurial development expertise and training for Nadi officers, who will serve as PRIME’s frontline personnel.
Sim said the government hoped between 30,000 and 50,000 entrepreneurs would use the PRIME service by the end of the year. - FMT
