Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi called on all Malaysians to pray for Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s recovery after the latter underwent surgery yesterday.
“Let’s pray together that his recovery will provide him with the comfort and strength to continue serving the country and the people as a whole.
“No matter how minor it (surgery) is, he needs at least two days of downtime,” he was reported as saying by Bernama last night.
Anwar had undergone an elective laparoscopic surgical procedure to treat a para-umbilical hernia yesterday. - Mkini
