He says he handed his resignation letter to Dewan Rakyat Speaker Johari Abdul last Wednesday.

In a Facebook post, Wong said he met with Dewan Rakyat Speaker Johari Abdul last Wednesday to hand over his resignation letter.
However, he and Johari had a “gentleman’s agreement” not to release any details until today.
Wong said the timing of his resignation was to allow parliamentary officers three working days to prepare for the vacancy of the Subang parliamentary seat.

“We shall also be removing the honorific title of Yang Berhormat from all our correspondence by next month,” he said, adding that he would be holding a press conference at 11am on Wednesday.
Minutes before announcing his resignation, he posted a 15-second video on Facebook showing him packing a stack of books into a box.
Wong was the MP for Kelana Jaya from 2013 to 2018 and Subang MP from May 2018 until today.
He is one of the three PKR MPs who were recently barred from accessing the MyKhas portal, which manages special funding for constituencies.
Ampang MP Rodziah Ismail was the latest to be barred from the portal after Wong and Petaling Jaya MP Lee Chean Chung.
All three had attended the launch of Bersama, the party now helmed by former PKR leaders Rafizi Ramli and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, in May. - FMT
