That restaurant is no other than Restoran Vargina, and the tagline is equally winning, “Makanan Islam yang lazat.”

One can only wonder if eating out at Vargina is permissible or not.

Note that the restaurant, which operates at Sentul is a popular late-night lepak spot with highlights like roti canai, fried chicken, and maggi goreng served piping hot.

Overall, it is a vibrant choice for classic Malaysian and Thai eats. According to the website wonderboat .ai, many praised the friendly service and unique touches like drinks in bowls.

However, some also mentioned concerns about hygiene and slow service. Well, what can customers expect from a name like that?

But here comes the most important question. Why choose such an interesting and suggestive name? According to the Facebook page Budak Letrik, the name Vargina was actually derived from the sister of the restaurant owner.

It is a Tamil name which Budak Letrik claimed was very popular back then. So, there you have it.

Vargina is apparently not a typo, a culinary euphemism or a secret code for something spicy found on the menu. It is simply a name.
