Malacca poll
Malacca Chief Minister Ab Rauf Yusoh again teased the date for the impending Malacca state election, this time stating that the state assembly is “two Fridays away” from dissolution.
“It won’t be long. I said the other day it is four Fridays away; now it is just two Fridays away,” Berita Harian quoted him as saying in a speech in Sungai Udang./file/publisher-c1a3f893382d2b2f8a9aa22a654d9c97/2026/07/2357d0bd93353015617b344e11b71e44.jpg)
If followed through, this would place the dissolution on Sept 18, paving the way for an election within 60 days after the dissolution.
If no snap election is called, the Malacca assembly would dissolve automatically on Dec 27.Transport
Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd has dismissed purported passenger fares for the East Coast Rail Link circulating online.
It said the information being spread on social media is inaccurate and has never been verified by any authority, Bernama reported.
The Transport Ministry will only finalise and announce official fares by the end of this year, after the relevant evaluation and approval processes are completed. - Mkini
