KUALA LUMPUR: The Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) has rejected a nursing sister’s letter of representation for a review of the seven charges filed against her.
Emiliana Saigol @ Martha, who was working at a government hospital, was charged in two Magistrate’s Courts on June 21, with dishonest concealment of RM284,000 belonging to a housewife aged 55, by illicitly transferring the money to her own bank accounts at Maybank and CIMB Bank.
She is accused of committing the offences between Sept 23 and Oct 19, 2015, and was charged under Section 424 of the Penal Code which carries a jail term of up to five years, or a fine, or both, on conviction.
Deputy public prosecutor Raihanah Abdul Razak and Norhashimah Hashim conveyed the AGC’s decision to the two Magistrate’s Courts today, when the cases were brought up for mention.
Raihanah also requested for both cases to be heard together in Magistrate’s Court 1.
Magistrate Mohamad Firdaus Sadina Ali set Dec 22 and Dec 27 for trial. -FMT
