Dato’ Ambiga Sreneevasan needs help.
The former Bar Council president is suffering from a rare case of STCSN, a syndrome found only in Malaysia and first reported in the Kuala Lumpur area. As a matter of fact, she is the second only Malaysian known to have contracted the disorder, the first being a lawyer from Kuala Lumpur, lawyer Matthias Chang. But specialists have more or less given up hope on this Matthias fellow.
Still, what is the STCSN syndrome?
Well, a source in the know revealed that STCSN stands for Sometimes Throat Cancer, Sometimes None, a rare disease indigenous to certain parts of Kuala Lumpur – specifically, around the Ambiga and Matthias households. Nobody really knows how or why this disease inflicts its carriers, though one specialist from the Southampton Institute of Technology (SHIT), Doctor Iwanna Cekikher, told TTF that the disorder seemed endemic to persons linked to Sarawak Report, a fake news portal run by a British spin specialist, Clare Rewcastle Brown (READ HERE).
News of the syndrome’s link to the portal triggered untold panic at SHIT as researchers immediately roped Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin into the picture. According to doctor Iwanna Cekikher, the former UMNO statesmen were already displaying chronic symptoms as they seemed eerily silent whenever the odds were stacked against their favour. And that brings us to the million dollar question – just what exactly are the symptoms?
Let us take the case of Ambiga as example.
On the 20th of September 2017, TTF revealed that the former Bersih co-chairperson met Pandan Member of Parliament (MP) Rafizi Ramli – the man they call Sotong Goreng – in 2013 to discuss reasons Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim needed to be brought down. During the encounter, Ambiga related to Sotong Goreng what the latter didn’t know, that Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim planned to turn Dato’ Seri Azmin Ali into the next Menteri Besar of Selangor.
Her disclosure infuriated Sotong Goreng to such an extent, it led to a chain of events (WHICH YOU CAN READ ABOUT HERE) that consummated with a 91-page dossier listing reasons Khalid needed to go. The dossier was later found to be a complete fabrication and led to a defamation suit being brought by Khalid against the then secretary general of PKR, Dato’ Saifuddin Nasution. Now, one thing led to another before both parties eventually agreed to settle the matter amicably.
As part of the settlement, Saifuddin apologised unreservedly before conceding to newsmen that the allegations he levelled against Khalid were fake. Days then passed into months, and months, years. All the while, people believed that Sotong Goreng and Saifuddin were parties to fabrications contained within the 91-page report. But on the 20th of September 2017, I threw in Ambiga’s face a truth she couldn’t possibly refute.
On that day, I made plain the Bersih co-chairperson’s role in fabricating the dossier with the help of a lawyer from Bank Islam, Tommy Thomas. As the story goes, Thomas was privy to Khalid’s dealings with the bank and showed some documents to her. Days later, it was pointed out to me that Ambiga herself undertook to fabricate evidence by forging those documents in ways that implicated Khalid of wrongdoing.
Then, something terrible happened.
On the 21st of September 2017, the day after I came up with the story, Doctor Iwanna Cekikher diagnosed Ambiga as suffering from a serious case of throat cancer. According to the SHIT specialist, the cancer prevented the Bersih co-chairperson from uttering words like “Khalid,”, “Tommy Thomas,” “Dossier,” “Kajang Move,” and not forgetting, “Sotong Goreng.”
The doctor first suspected something amiss when he took Ambiga for Sotong Goreng in Kelana Jaya. He found that she could not tell the waiter the way she wanted her sotong cooked because she couldn’t say “Sotong Goreng.” It was then that the doctor asked her to say “Tommy Thomas.” When Ambiga couldn’t call out the name, he immediately took her in for a scan.
Blood test results confirmed that the Bersih co-chairperson was STCSN positive. Due to the disease, Ambiga was forced to stay silent and refused to comment on my article. But almost as soon as my claims drowned beneath the gush of conspiracy Pakatan Harapan flooded the internet with, the cancer vanished, and she could say “Sotong Goreng” all over again.

Chances are, she is having a bad case of throat cancer all over again and is unable to issue a rebuttal.
Yes, it is highly likely that Ambiga is having trouble saying words like “Clare,” “Hadi,” RM90 million,” “Sarawak Report” and “London.” Now, can you be so cruel as to blame this poor lady for staying silent?
