Two Amanah MPs have provided their statements to the Federal Territory Islamic Department (Jawi) over the “sodomy” accusation levelled at PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim.
Earlier this month, the former finance minister II Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah alleged that Anwar was involved in sodomy with his “anak buah.”
Sepang MP Mohd Hanipa Maidin and Kuala Terengganu MP Raja Kamarul Bahrin Shah Raja Ahmad said their statements were taken separately by Jawi, following a qazaf report lodged earlier by Pakatan Harapan leaders.
In a Facebook posting, Hanipa (photo) said the investigating officer in the case is watching a video recording of the parliamentary proceeding where Husni, the Tambun MP, was said to have made the allegation against Anwar.
“According to the procedure, Husni is expected to be called (to Jawi) also,” Hanipa added in his posting.
On Nov 7, several Pakatan Harapan MPs lodged a complaint against Husni for accusing Anwar of sodomy.
The complaint was made under Section 41 of the Syariah Criminal Offences (Federal Territory) Act 1997.- Mkini
