Gerakan president Mah Siew Keong urged the media not to give coverage to extremists who threaten national harmony in Malaysia.
He said such extremist voices don’t represent the courtesy and morality of Malaysians.

He added that although such groups are a minority, they could become a "cancer" to harmony in Malaysia.
"Thus I urge the media - all of you over there - not to give space to extremists.
"They would surely die a natural death if not given the space to spread their message.
“Their only goal is to spread fear and hatred amongst the people,” he said in his policy speech at 46th Gerakan’s National Delegates’ Conference in Kuala Lumpur today.
He also lauded the Conference of Rulers move for speaking out against a "Muslim-only" laundromat in Johor and urging the government to emphasise on unity and moderation.
