MP: Don’t trust videos showing MACC chief’s alleged affair

PARLIAMENT | The series of viral videos purporting to show MACC chief commissioner Dzulkifli Ahmad as being involved in an extramarital affair cannot be trusted, said Nawawi Ahmad (BN-Langkawi).
Nawawi told the Dewan Rakyat today that the videos could have been doctored, and paraphrased VK Lingam's infamous quote in the alleged judiciary fixing affair: “It looks like me, it sounds like me, but it is not me.”
"I am of the view that the images cannot be trusted. In the age of technology, Tan Sri's (Dzulkifli) face can be replaced with mine," he said during the Budget 2018 debate.
"We can do just about anything with (technology)," he said.

Nawawi (photo) also added that it was not right for Gobind Singh Deo (DAP-Puchong) to raise the matter in Parliament last Thursday, and urged the matter be put to rest.
Last week, Gobind and other opposition lawmakers raised concerns of a possible cover-up between the police and MACC, since they are conducting high profile investigations on each other.
Police are investigating Dzulkifli under Section 498 of Penal Code over the alleged extramarital affair, while MACC’s Ops Gopi probe concerns police officers allegedly receiving kickbacks from vice dens.
Dzulkifli has maintained that the videos were aimed at discrediting MACC's efforts, and stressed that the commission would not be deterred from its duty to root out graft.- Mkini
