Razali: Wait for the police probe into MACC chief

PARLIAMENT | Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Razali Ibrahim said whether the MACC investigates its own chief Dzulkifli Ahmad will depend on the outcome of the probe being carried out by the police.
He said the police were trying to establish whether it was really Dzulkifli in a series of video clips that went viral, showing Dzulkifli holidaying with a woman in Bali and in Hong Kong.
"For now, the police investigation is focused on whether the claim is true or not.
"Whether the MACC investigates the matter will depend on the investigation made by the police, which is overseen by the Attorney-General's Chambers," he told the Dewan Rakyat last night.

Razali (photo) was responding to a question from Teo Nie Ching (DAP-Kulai).
The videos had been used to accuse Dzulkifli of enticing a married woman, which is a crime in Malaysia.
However, Teo had said her interest was not on who Dzulkifli was holidaying but how he could afford such trips, which she claimed were "luxurious".
Razali gave his assurance to the MPs that no one would be spared by the law if an offence had been committed.
"For now, allow police the opportunity to resolve this case as there have already been two police reports.
"If we want to know whether it was true he went to Bali, whether it was really him in the video - these are all assumptions.
"The answer lies with the police, after they conclude the investigation," he said.- Mkini
