WHICH OF YOUR NEPHEWS WAS SODOMISED BY ANWAR – PAKATAN TELLS HUSNI TO LODGE POLICE REPORT OR FACE ACTION FROM ISLAMIC AUTHORITY

KUALA LUMPUR: Pakatan Harapan (PH) MPs want the Federal Territories Islamic Affairs Department (Jawi) to probe Tambun MP Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah’s “kaki liwat” accusation against Anwar Ibrahim in the Dewan Rakyat last Wednesday.
Sepang MP Mohamed Hanipa Maidin and Kuala Terengganu MP Raja Kamarul Bahrin Shah, who lodged a qazaf (wrongful accusation) complaint, want the former cabinet member to be investigated under Section 41 of the Syariah Criminal Offences (Federal Territories) Act 1997.
In the complaint filed today, the duo, who were in the Dewan Rakyat when Husni was debating the Supply Bill, said Husni had accused the PKR de facto leader of sodomising his nephew.
“Do you know who is Anwar Ibrahim? I was Anwar Ibrahim’s man? I left him.
“After he resigned as deputy prime minister, I helped him. We went to Bukit Damansara.
“When he was involved in sodomy. He was involved with my ‘anak buah’. We all cried.
“I went to Jordan,” Husni had said last week.
Speaking at a press conference today, Raja Kamarul said such words should not have been uttered in an august house as it would tarnish the image of the lower house
“The main thing here is that there should be no personal attacks.
He said the personal attacks were unfair.
Kapar MP G Mannivanan said he had confronted Husni at 2.30pm last Wednesday and Husni claimed he had apologised.
“But he did not say who he said sorry to. I have not seen him since then,” he said.
Kelana Jaya MP Wong Chen said when Husni resigned as a minister, opposition MPs had been quite impressed with his stand on 1MDB.
“But I think what he said on the sodomy has completely discredited his position in our eyes. His accusation is very uncalled for and unacceptable. The MPs are united on this front.
“We also urge BN to take a stand. We cannot allow Parliament to descend to this low level,” he said.
To a question on whether Jawi could take action against Husni, since he had said it in the Dewan Rakyat and enjoyed immunity from prosecution, Wong said Jawi should first probe the matter and state its stand on the issue.
“In this case, everything was recorded. It’s an open and shut case.
“Wait for what Jawi says. It’s a moral compass to future MPs. We expect some statement on the issue,” he said.
On the possibility of tabling a motion to refer Husni to the Rights and Privileges Committee, Subang MP R Sivarasa said this was also a possibility they would explore.
Yesterday, Sungai Petani MP Johari Abdul had challenged the Tambun MP to repeat his sodomy claim outside of the Dewan Rakyat.
Johari had said that Husni and his nephew should lodge a police report if it was true that the nephew was sodomised by the PKR de facto leader.
