Ku Nan accuses PAS Youth of taking 'pil kuda'

GE14 | Incumbent Putrajaya lawmaker Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor has accused PAS Youth election workers of taking pil kuda (methamphetamine) during the last general election.
In a groundbreaking ceremony of two surau for Presint 11K and 11F in Putrajaya today, Tengku Adnan cited the time when former PAS vice-president Husam Musa stood against him for the Putrajaya seat five years ago.
"I found it strange how PAS Youth members could work for two to three days straight without sleep,” he said, adding that Umno Youth members were weak by comparison.
"Finally when we checked we found out that they were fed with pil kuda. This is the Islamic party.
"I'm sorry, but with PAS I have to say sorry, they are not right," he added.
Depite Tengku Adnan’s accusation today, it was PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang who had accused PKR candidates of pushing pil kuda in the last general election.
He was then sued by PKR's candidate for the Bukit Besi seat Shamsul Mat Amin.
The court, however, cleared Hadi of defaming Shamsul.
Negative elements
With the general election set to occur in less than a month, Tengku Adnan today also expressed concern about other negative elements that may creep into the constituency.
"This time, I don't know who else is coming. With the so-called Harapan, what harapan (hope) are they talking about?
"We know that hope is for the government today. We will get what we want because the government is responsible and does not go back on its promises.
"We have achieved 97.4 percent of what we promised in our manifesto for the last general election," he said to applause from those present.
Urging those present to "strengthen" the government, the caretaker Federal Territories minister said this is necessary so that the government can achieve its goals which would lead to a country everyone can be proud of.
Tengku Adnan, in the last general election, defeated Husam with a majority of 5,541 votes. He has held the Putrajaya seat since 2004. - Mkini
