GE14 | When Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak announced that Parliament would be dissolved in May 2013, his then deputy Muhyiddin Yassin stood proudly by his side.
Five years later, today, Muhyiddin who is now on the outside looking in, believes something was different with his former boss.
"I saw on television. Najib looked like someone who was afraid. He didn't look happy, he looked like a coward.
"He knows what is going to happen, he knows BN will fall, so he is worried," Muhyiddin said at a fundraising hi-tea function in Johor Bahru today.
Najib earlier today announced that Parliament would be dissolved tomorrow, paving the way for the 14th general election.
Muhyiddin said the country was ripe for change and urged the people not to let the prime minister "kidnap" the election.
Muhyiddin's coalition, Pakatan Harapan, claims that GE14 will be tainted by gerrymandering through the now approved redelineation exercise.
They believe this will allow BN to remain in power, without needing the popular vote.
Najib in his speech had also said that the government is formed by those who have the most seats in Parliament, not by those who have the popular vote. - Mkini
