Nazri pricks Rafidah, tells her dead mosquito cannot bite

A dead mosquito can no longer bite, said Tourism and Culture Minister Nazri Abdul Aziz in response to former minister Rafidah Aziz's warning that certain types of mosquitoes could be deadly.
Rafidah had issued the warning in reference to Nazri's earlier comments describing Bersatu as a "mosquito" party.
“I think it is no longer an issue because the mosquito is now dead. So it will not be able to bite.
“It is not an issue anymore,” Nazri told Malaysiakini when contacted today.
Nazri yesterday said that BN would not be affected by Bersatu’s deregistration as the party's impact was like a “mosquito bite” to the ruling party.
Rafidah then cautioned politicians not to be arrogant and quoted the Dalai Lama’s advice: “ […] remember that you live in a planet with gravity. What goes up, must come down.”
Commenting further, Nazri sarcastically thanked Rafidah for her reminder that politicians must always keep their feet on the ground.
“I would like to thank her for reminding me. I think she has given the advice based on her own experiences and after what had happened to her.
“She was once also said to be arrogant and then she lost the party elections badly […] and then she was dropped as a minister,” said Nazri in reference to Rafidah’s previous posts as Wanita Umno chief and her 32-year tenure in Cabinet.
“I am heeding her call, so thank you for reminding me,” he added.
Yesterday, ROS chief registrar Surayati Ibrahim announced that Bersatu had failed to submit thorough information and documentation that were requested through a notice issued under Section 14 (2) of the Societies Act 1966.
Rafidah had described the move as despicable and asked Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak if he was so afraid of Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who co-founded Bersatu, that he must resort to such tactics. - Mkini
