GE14 | PAS-led coalition Gagasan Sejahtera is set to contest in almost all seats in Terengganu, Perak, Negeri Sembilan and the Federal Territories.
This, based on the announcements made at the respective states tonight.
In Terengganu, the state's PAS commissioner Husain Awang said the party will contest in all 32 state seats and eight parliamentary seats.
PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang will be defending the parliamentary seat of Marang while PAS ulama information chief Khairuddin Aman Razali will likewise defend the Kuala Nerus parliamentary seat.
Hadi, however, has passed down the Rhu Rendang state seat which he has held for 36 years to his political secretary Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar, who will be making his official political debut.
For the state of Perak, Gagasan Sejahtera - which also consists of Malaysia National Alliance Party (Ikatan) and Pan-Malaysian Islamic Front (Berjasa) - will be fielding candidates in all 59 state and 21 parliamentary seats.
PAS vice-president Idris Ahmad will be defending the Bukit Gantang parliamentary seat.
Gagasan Sejahtera will also be contesting 26 out of the 36 state seats in the Negeri Sembilan legislative assembly. The coalition will be contesting in eight parliamentary seats in the state.
The coalition is also set to contest in all Federal Territories seats with the exception of Seputeh, Cheras and Kepong.
Apart from Terengganu, Perak, Negeri Sembilan and the Federal Territories, Gagasan Sejahtera also announced its candidates for the states of Selangor, Perlis, Penang, Kedah, Malacca, Johor and Pahang tonight. -Mkini
