Rafidah: Regardless of whose ear turns red, I'll continue speaking

Continuing to live up to her reputation as the “Iron Lady”, Rafidah Aziz has vowed not to refrain from voicing her thoughts on matters concerning the nation.
As a Malaysian citizen, the former minister said, she has the right to express her views on issues which she considers important to the interests of the nation and people.
“Is it only millionaires, those with titles and political positions who can reprimand? I wonder whose interpretation of democracy is this?” Rafidah told Malaysiakini.
“InsyaAllah (God willing), I will continue to state my opinions, regardless of whose ear turns red...
“Allah decides everything. There is no reason for anyone to question the rights of a citizen like me,” she added.
Rafidah was responding to an Utusan Online article titled, Siapa Rafidah peritikai keputusan ROS? (Who is Rafidah to question the ROS' decision?), which quoted former Bersatu leader Kamarul Azman Habibur Rahman.
Kamarul had claimed that Rafidah's vocal stand against the government of late is due to her obsession with her former boss and Bersatu chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
He said Rafidah must look at the chronology with regard to Bersatu's formation and its self-inflicted problems before blaming ROS and government.
“The decision of ROS (to issue) a provisional dissolution order (for Bersatu) has nothing to do with the government.
“Is Rafidah also suffering from memory issues in her old age like her mentor Mahathir?” Kamarul added.
Following the ROS' decision yesterday, Rafidah had criticised Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, urging him to battle his political opponents in a more honourable manner.
Describing the decision as despicable, she also asked if Najib feared Mahathir so much that he had to resort to such tactics.
Mahathir has also blamed Najib for Bersatu's status, claiming that the prime minister wanted to prevent him from contesting in the coming general election. - Mkini
