JELEBU: Socio-cultural adviser to the government Rais Yatim has commended the administration under the leadership of Prime Minister Najib Razak, which was seen as extremely caring towards the welfare of the people.
He said among the efforts were the 1Malaysia Taxi Assistance Card for taxi owners and 1Malaysia People’s Aid (BR1M) for the people.
“All these reflect the caring spirit of Najib for the people’s welfare.
“I am confident the aid by Barisan Nasional, through the country’s administration, would be remembered by voters,” he told reporters after launching ” Larian Budi Jelebu 2018” here today.
Commenting further, Rais said all political parties must be united on matters relating to nationhood.
“For example, regardless of whether it is DAP, Umno, MCA or MIC, all must play their roles to empower the Rukun Negara,” he said.
Meanwhile, 1,000 participants joined the run aimed at promoting racial harmony, apart from imbuing values of togetherness and mutual respect for the people’s culture. - FMT
