Take our party away and there'll be another, vows Bersatu's Saddiq

Bersatu leaders remain defiant after the Registrar of Societies (ROS) today slapped the party with a provisional dissolution order, which will become permanent within 30 days if its demands are not met.
However, Bersatu Youth chief Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman said this will not be the end for the party.
"Our party is only a vehicle for the people's use. Deregister one, and we will rise again with another," he said in a statement posted on Facebook.
The provisional dissolution order comes just a day before a widely speculated dissolution of Parliament tomorrow, which will pave the way to the 14th general election.
"Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak can declare our party illegal at the last minute before Parliament is dissolved but it will not stop the people's wave," he said.
Meanwhile, Bersatu strategy and policy bureau chief Rais Hussin said the party had prepared to deal with the deregistration.
"We have our own specific plans. The angst of the people will just multiply exponentially," he said.
Rais' deputy Wan Saiful Wan Jan decried the provisional dissolution order as an "abuse of power".
"Umno is clearly scared and they are doing everything they can to stop the rise of Bersatu. We will continue to fight this abusive regime.
"This action provides an even stronger evidence that they must be removed if we want to bring back integrity into our institutions," he said.

The ROS today confirmed the provisional dissolutionorder after it said Bersatu failed to furnish the registrar with the necessary documentation and information.
It added that Bersatu's deregistration will become permanent within 30 days if it fails to comply or loses the appeal.  -Mkini
