GE14 | Gua Musang Umno division chief Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah said today he would defend the Gua Musang parliamentary seat he has represented for the last 44 years, in the 14th general election on May 9.
Saying he was still healthy and strong at 81, Tengku Razaleigh said he wanted to keep on serving the constituents, as he had done since 1974, in keeping with his vow to develop Gua Musang town into a progressive urban centre.
“The people are waiting for the development that the Barisan Nasional government will implement because only a BN government can guarantee the prosperity of the people of diverse races in the country,” he said when addressing a gathering of more than 3,000 BN supporters in Gua Musang.
Tengku Razaleigh said the outcome of GE14 was bright for the BN, not just at the federal level but also in PAS-ruled Kelantan, because of the disunity in PAS that had many members quitting to join other parties.
“I believe a wind of change will strike Kelantan in GE14 due to the disunity in PAS,” he said.
Tengku Razaleigh also vowed to resolve the issue of the Orang Asli customary land if the BN was returned to power in Kelantan.
