Will Kayveas claim Najib is a MyPPP member next, asks Sivarraajh

GE14 | C Sivarraajh has rubbished MyPPP president M Kayveas’s claim that he is a member of the party.

"Maybe tomorrow he will say (BN chairperson) Najib Abdul Razak is a member of MyPPP too," the MIC Youth chief said in jest when contacted by Malaysiakini.

"It is a joke to say that I am a MyPPP member," he added.

Sivarraajh was responding to a Berita Daily report, in which Kayveas claimed that the former had joined the party in 2013.

He said this was just a gambit for MyPPP to stake its claim on the Cameron Highlands parliamentary seat.

The MIC Youth chief is widely speculated to contest in the seat, which Kayveas has actively lobbied for over the past several years.

Sivarraajh, who was in stitches for much of the conversation, said his first and only political party is MIC, which he joined in 2003.

He also said he will be issuing a legal notice in the event that his particulars were used to register for MyPPP membership without his knowledge.

Earlier today, Kayveas stated that he would be meeting Najib over the Cameron Highlands seat.

The outcome of this meeting, he said, could determine whether MyPPP remains loyal to BN. - Mkini
