Siti Aisyah 'shocked' when police raided her room, says cop

A police officer told the High Court in Shah Alam today that Siti Aisyah, who was charged with killing North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's half-brother Kim Jong-nam, was lying on a bed in a hotel room, and was shocked when a team of policemen raided the premises three days after Jong-nam's death.
Selangor Police Contingent Headquarters D9 Staff Officer Nasri Mansor said the door of the hotel room occupied by the accused was unlocked, and slightly open during the raid at 2.15am on Feb 16, 2017.
"I received instructions to arrest an Indonesian woman who was in a room at Hotel Flamingo, Ampang in connection with a murder case at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2)," he said during examination-in-chief by deputy public prosecutor Muhamad Iskandar Ahmad.
He said that before the raid, he was at the Sepang District Police Headquarters (IPD) and had briefed his team to prepare for an arrest at any time.
"After receiving valid information at 1.30am, we went to Hotel Flamingo and arrived there at 2.15am. Upon arriving there, we used the lift to get to the third floor, namely to room number 356.
"When I arrived in front of the room, I noticed that the door was unlocked and a left a little open with a rubber door wedge holding it in position.
"I knocked on the door and entered the room," he said, adding that he saw a woman lying on the bed of the room with all the lights switched on.

The 16th witness was testifying in the trial of Indonesian citizen Siti Aisyah, 25, and Vietnamese Doan Thi Huong, 28, who are jointly charged with four others still at large with killing Jong-nam (photo), 45, at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2) Departure Hall at 9am, Feb 13.
Nasri said he introduced himself by showing his authority card to the accused as soon as he entered the room.
He described that the woman was in a state of shock, and asked about the offence she had allegedly committed.
"However, I asked the woman to identify herself and she gave me her passport, and after checking, I found out she was named Siti Aisyah," he said, adding that he also seized two mobile phones, namely an Oppo and iPhone 6, Rayban branded eyeglasses, as well as USD300 (RM1,254.45) from her purse.
"In addition to the purse, I seized a Louis Vuitton bag, a pair of shoes, denim pants, a sleeveless shirt, a scarf and a passport. We were in the room for an hour, and all the seized items were placed in a black plastic bag before being taken from the room," he said.
