A teacher who was arrested on Tuesday for molesting a school girl is believed to have committed the same act on 12 more pupils in the same school.
Sarawak CID chief Datuk Dev Kumar said that between 5.40pm to 8.15pm yesterday, the parents of the 12 pupils came forward to lodge reports at the Niah police station, Miri against the suspect for molesting their children.
"So far, 13 victims aged between eight to 11 from Year Two to Five of a primary school in Batu Niah have come forward,” he said in a statement today.
Dev said all victims claimed the incidents occurred when they were in Year One to Two and the suspect recorded the part of the victims’ bodies with his mobile phone.
"The mobile phone of the suspect had been seized for forensic analysis and he had been remanded for seven days until May 1 after he was nabbed on April 24,” he added.
