Cool down, be rational, Ku Nan tells those not picked to contest

He says candidates need to find out the reason why they had been dropped in the first place.
BN secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said members should respect whatever decision made by the party leadership.
KUALA LUMPUR: “Don’t fight against the institution, we are a structured party … cool down, be rational and think.
“There is a reason why some were not selected to contest in the 14th general election.”
This advice came from Barisan National (BN) secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor to those who intend to act on their own or even plan to sabotage the party after not being fielded.
He said members should respect whatever decision made by the party leadership.
“When sometimes you get dropped, you need to find out the reason why you have been dropped in the first place.
“If you don’t toe the line and follow the party’s constitution and ethics, I will take action,” he told reporters after handing over the keys for homes under the Federal Territories Housing Scheme (Rumawip) Residensi and Pangsapuri Pandanmas 2 to the buyers here today.
More than a thousand people received keys to their new homes.
Tengku Adnan said BN was monitoring every constituency for any element of sabotage and for candidates contesting as independents in the GE14, adding that culprits would immediately lose their party membership.
On the exit of myPPP president M Kayveas from the party, Tengku Adnan said there were a lot capable myPPP members to run the party.
“They have nearly 300,000 members and their voters are more than 200,000. These voters would like to stay on as a component within BN. That is what I was told.
“We do not want any component party undermining the BN,” he said.
Kayveas posted on his Facebook page and Twitter that he had stepped down as party president, its Kuala Lumpur chairman and Perak exco adviser, effective Monday (April 23).
However, later, myPPP secretary-general Mohan Kandasamy said Kayveas had been sacked from the party by its Supreme Council. - FMT
