GE14 | Sabah PKR will be contesting six parliamentary and nine state seats in the 14th general election.
Its chairperson Christina Liew said the six parliamentary seats were Beaufort, Ranau, Tuaran, Putatan, Pensiangan and Tawau.
For the state seats, the party will be contesting in Inanam, Tempasuk, Kadamaian, Moyog, Karanaan, Matunggong, Tamparuli, Kuala Penyu and Api-Api.
However, the candidate for Moyog state seat will only be announced on Friday, Liew said when announcing the candidates in Kota Kinabalu today.
Liew added that apart from defending the Api-Api state seat, she would also be contesting the Tawau parliamentary seat.
In the 2013 general election, PKR candidate Kong Fo Min lost to BN’s Mary Yap, the caretaker deputy higher education minister, by 4,979 votes.
Sabah BN are only expected to release their list of candidates later this week.
PKR will be fielding four female candidates and two young candidates, Chrisnadia Sinam, 35, who will be contesting Tuaran, and Raymond Ahuar, 33, who will contest Pensiangan.
The incumbent Inanam state assemblyperson Dr Roland Chia had decided not to contest, she added.
