Missing nurse found dead with slash wounds in Cyberjaya apartment

SHAH ALAM: The body of missing Serdang Hospital nurse Siti Kharina Mohd Kamarudin, 40, has been found inside an apartment in Cyberjaya.
Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Noor Azam Jamaludin said the victim, who has been missing since May 8, was believed to have been murdered.
"We discovered slash wounds on the chest, neck and head of the victim.
"The body was discovered partially clothed on Wednesday (May 15) after the landlord noticed blood flowing from inside the apartment," he told a press conference on Thursday (May 16).
Two suspects - a 35-year-old Nigerian man and a 38-year-old Pakistani man - have been detained in connection with the case, he added.
"The Forensics Unit has been able to collect hard evidence from the apartment, including a knife, blood samples and clothing.
"We believe the victim has been dead for four to five days," he said.
Comm Noor Azam said police are also investigating the connection between the suspects and the victim.
"We are still establishing a motive for the murder. We are not ruling out any possibilities," he said.
Comm Noor Azam said police are also looking for another Nigerian man over the case.
He urged anyone with information to contact the nearest police station. - Star
