Cops on the hunt for four who fired shots into the air at temple

KUALA SELANGOR: Police are looking for four suspects believed to have fired multiple shots in the air with a double barrel shotgun at a temple at Tanjung Karang recently.
Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Fadzil Ahmat said the incident occurred during a festival at a temple at Parit 4, Sungai Burong on Sunday (May 12).
"We were alerted after several videos went viral showing the men firing shots in the air with the shotgun.
"Based on the video, about 15 to 20 shots were fired," he said when contacted on Thursday (May 16).

In one of the videos, a man in red can be seen pointing the rifle in the air and firing one shot, the video then jumps to a man wearing a beige coloured shirt firing two shots in the air before reloading the weapon and firing another shot.

Another video shows a man wearing orange firing four shots in the air before reloading it and handing the weapon to another man wearing blue. He is seen firing three more shots in the air.
He added that police have identified four suspects aged between 30 and 67 and will be arresting them to further investigate the incident.
"We will also seize the shotgun which was used in the incident," he said, adding that the case was being investigated under Section 39 of the Weapons Act 1960.- Star
