Iranian podcaster (in London) Mahyar Tousi claims that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has left Teheran on a special flight headed west. Ali Khamenei has not been seen anywhere by anyone since the turmoil began in Iran on Sunday December 28th 2025.
There is no country in the wold which will give asylum to Ali Khamenei except maybe Shia majority Iraq. Hence the 'headed west'. Or he could have been flown to a secure bunker closer to the Iraqi border.
Six days after the street protests began six people have been shot dead. But what is noticeable on the ground is the absence of the Islamic Republican Guards or Basij troops. Police and military personnel have also "defected" to the side of the protesters.
Protesters have burnt down Police stations and damaged Police vehicles. Multiple statues of ayatollahs, leaders and military "heroes" like Qassem Soleimani have been burnt, damaged or pulled down. Masjids and madrassahs have also been burned down. Videos of these events are flooding Iranian social media. I get a link through Mahyar Tousi, Armin Navabi and other Iranian podcasters.
The whole of Iran is out on the streets. A nation of 90 million people who are totally pissed with the ayatollahs is a very mighty force. The next two days are critical. Make or break.
