Cops make arrest after elderly woman dies from head injuries

 Police have arrested one person in a murder investigation after an elderly woman died from severe head injuries in Kota Bharu, Kelantan.

Kelantan police chief Yusoff Mamat said the 83-year-old victim was brought to a clinic by a family member on Monday after suffering head injuries.

She was referred to Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II, where she was admitted, and died at yesterday evening while being treated, Berita Harian reported.

“An autopsy found that the cause of death was blunt trauma to the head which caused skull fractures and internal bleeding.

“Following her death, one person was arrested to assist with the investigation,” said Yusoff. - FMT
