PAS information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari is demanding answers after a new video featuring Sofia Rini Buyong surfaced.
“I cannot verify the authenticity of this video. However, those named in it must come forward to issue denials and provide explanations,” Fadhli (above) said in a Facebook post, which also contained the 48-second clip.
“This is extremely serious. I hope these allegations are untrue,” the Pasir Mas MP added.
Sofia first made headlines over a video in which she discussed allegations of corruption involving Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s former political secretary Shamsul Iskandar Akin, with businessperson Albert Tei.
Shamsul then resigned as Anwar's aide to defend himself against the allegations levelled against him.

In a post on X, Shamsul said he was made to understand that there is an attempt to attack him with an issue that could ruin the government’s image.
The post followed Malaysiakini contacting him for comment over allegations that he received money from businessperson Albert Tei in relation to the mining scandal.
Subsequently, both Shamsul and Tei were charged in relation to the Sabah mining scandal, while the MACC classified Sofia as a prosecution witness.
In the latest video, Sofia, a businessperson, refers to an individual named “Anwar” and another named “Farhash”.
It is unclear whether these references are to the prime minister and his former aide, Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak.
The clip appears to be a snippet from the same recordings revealed last November.
Malaysiakini has contacted Sofia, Farhash and the Prime Minister’s Office for comment, and is withholding details of the claims raised in the video, pending their responses. - Mkini
