WE EXPECT food courts to be in pristine, air conditioned shopping malls or at least in an open commercial area. But what if a food court decides to follow the concept of a hidden bar to maintain the air of mystery?
The result is no other than D’Jungle Food Court, which lies below a flyover along Section 51a of Petaling Jaya.
Apparently this hidden food court caught quite the attention recently on the internet thanks to a video post on X by netizen @MalaysianFoods.
In the video, a person could be seen walking along a seedy pathway at the side of Sheraton Petaling Jaya, only to arrive at a shady looking entrance.
However, upon entering, many diners could be seen there, suggesting that this food court isn’t that hidden after all.
Malay cuisine dominated the place, from nasi kerabu, nasi lemak and also mixed rice. But our fellow netizens have much to say about the place.
According to netizen @fara_fiqa92, it takes bravery to dine in such hidden places since rats and cockroaches love it here.

Then there was @_al_masih_ claiming that only the Indonesians will make illegal homes and shops under the bridge. Another netizen said it was smelly down there.
Also @CookieCream1977 pointed out the sewerage nearby which will be a vital hygiene factor for consideration.

Since the food court is directly under a road which experiences high traffic, diners should also worry about the quality of the air they are breathing.
Regardless, the D’Jungle Food Court certainly sold itself in terms of novelty and curiosity.
So foodies should bring along their face masks and some medication for food poisoning if they are looking to check out this hidden food court which is now trending on the cyberspace. — Focus Malaysia
