The national registration department files a police report over a viral video purportedly involving a Myanmar national.

PETALING JAYA: The national registration department (JPN) has sought the assistance of the police to identify a foreigner seen in a viral video claiming to possess a MyKad.
JPN filed a police report following a video, which went viral, purportedly involving a Myanmar national holding a MyKad.
It said the content could cause confusion and public alarm.
“JPN cannot confirm the nationality of the person or hold further investigations purely based on a viral video.
“Therefore, JPN has asked the police and relevant agencies to help track down the individual involved, identify him, and conduct further investigations,” it said in a statement. - FMT
