Serdang police chief Assistant Commissioner Muhamad Farid Ahmad said police received a call at 2.54pm reporting a bomb threat at Columbia Asia Hospital in Bandar Puteri, Puchong.
"Searches inside and outside Columbia Asia Hospital by the Bomb Disposal Unit and K9 Detection Unit found no explosive materials or suspicious objects.
"A forensics team from the Selangor police headquarters was also present at the scene," he said in a statement.
The case is being investigated under Section 507 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation by anonymous communication.
The offence carries a jail term of up to two years, in addition to any punishment prescribed under Section 506 of the Penal Code.
Farid urged the public not to speculate on the incident, saying such speculation could cause unnecessary public alarm.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Serdang police headquarters at 03-80742222 or the nearest police station. - FMT
