A four-day remand order against the 18-year-old man and woman, effective today, was issued by magistrate S. Selvaranjini.
Police are investigating the case under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation.
The couple, who are both cashiers, were arrested in a raid at a budget hotel along Jalan Tun Dr Awang here last night.
During the raid, police also seized a 'pistol' and a 'magazine' resembling a real firearm to assist in the investigation.
The arrests followed reports lodged by two men who alleged they were threatened by the male suspect, who was renting a room at their house in Halaman Paya Terubong.
The two men had reportedly reprimanded the couple for arguing with each other before the suspect allegedly pointed the pistol-like object at them and left the rented room with his girlfriend.
Police investigations are ongoing.
