The PBB president says as the backbone of Gabungan Parti Sarawak, the party must continue strengthening itself and not be complacent.

Speaking at a PBB convention in Sibu, the party leader said the convention served as a platform for reflection and preparation, much like students do before an examination to overcome their weaknesses, DayakDaily reported.
Abang Johari said the convention was an opportunity for PBB to review what had been achieved over the past five years and assess its readiness for the next challenge.
“When we were in school, we would prepare ourselves before facing an examination. We revised all our subjects. Things that were good, we improved. Formulas that we had forgotten, we worked on remembering them again.
“When we prepare well, we can achieve good results. This is what we are doing today,” he said in a recording of his speech later shared with DayakDaily.
He said PBB, as the backbone of the ruling Gabungan Parti Sarawak coalition, must continue strengthening itself and remain united. The party must not assume success was guaranteed simply because of past achievements, warning that complacency could affect the party’s future.
“Do not take things easy. Do not take things for granted. We must get an A in the examination that is coming,” he said.
