The PN leader says his statement was based on historical facts and had been deliberately manipulated by certain quarters.

Sanusi maintained that his statement was based on historical facts and had been deliberately manipulated, Berita Harian reported.
“I only stated facts. Anyone who manipulates this issue for political purposes, I will sue. I will also lodge a police report and take legal action to set the record straight.
“The details were clear. People deliberately manipulated it by taking only part of what I said, adding their own interpretation and then turning it into an issue.
“Surely people understand Bahasa Melayu. It is being sensationalised to gain political mileage and tarnish my reputation,” he was quoted as saying.
At a ceramah on Thursday night, Sanusi allegedly said “Tanah Melayu” is the only homeland for the Malays, unlike other ethnic groups, suggesting that the Chinese and Indians could fall back on their ancestral homelands outside Malaysia.
This led to the Kedah menteri besar being criticised by various DAP leaders as well as MIC president SA Vigneswaran, who called for Barisan Nasional to review its Negeri Sembilan election pact with PN.
Sanusi also warned against lodging police reports against him over his remarks, saying he would file a counter report if his remarks continued to be misrepresented. - FMT
