PKR vice-president Zuraida Kamaruddin said she was awaiting an invitation from party president Anwar Ibrahim, whom she claimed had promised to meet her.
She was responding to reporters who asked about efforts by the faction aligned to PKR deputy president Azmin Ali, to meet with Anwar.
Ampang MP Zuraida had previously told the media that she had sent three letters to Anwar regarding the matter without getting a reply.
Meanwhile, party secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution had rebuffed the idea, saying there was no need for any reconciliation meetings within the party and asking her to just attend PKR meetings.
"I am waiting for the president to call me to meet up. It's okay, he promised to see us. Let's wait," Zuraida said.
The housing and local government minister was speaking to reporters after opening the fifth Smart Cities Asia Conference 2019 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
She stated that despite initially indicating that he wanted Azmin and Zuraida to just attend party meetings, the Port Dickson MP had now expressed his agreement to meet.
"Of course we want to see him (Anwar). Because we want to see our president," she added.
Azmin is among several PKR leaders who have been skipping the central leadership and political bureau meetings due to internal friction.
Last month, Anwar said Azmin is not immune from disciplinary action over his absence from the meetings.
However, the PKR president said he would leave the matter to the party's disciplinary board.
On July 18, Zuraida acknowledged the split in PKR and said it was up to Anwar to resolve the dispute which erupted following a sex video clip allegedly implicating Azmin.
On another matter, Zuraida confirmed that Pakatan Harapan Selangor was still meeting as usual. - Mkini
