Amanah president Mohamad Sabu urged the people of Negeri Sembilan to reject the "marriage-divorce" politics that certain parties are practising in their pursuit of power.
In a veiled jab at PAS, he reportedly said that party-hopping and shifting political allegiance for power should not be accepted in the country as it could undermine political stability.
“They first ‘married’ BN, then ‘divorced’, then ‘married’ Pakatan Rakyat, before ‘divorcing’ again in 2015.
“Then they ‘remarried’ Umno-BN, but after just over a year, ‘divorced’ again! They then ‘married’ Bersatu but were ‘divorced’ once more!
“Now they are trying to woo our ‘wife’ (BN)!... We must not allow this kind of politics to continue flourishing,” Bernama reported him as saying.
The government will increase the Rahmah Necessities Aid (Sara) soon to help ease the rising cost of living, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said.
The decision came after considering public feedback, he said, despite the various forms of assistance the government has already provided, Bernama reported.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim “Although we have provided the Rahmah Cash Aid (STR) and Sara, and in Negeri Sembilan Aminuddin (Harun) has given a substantial bonus to civil servants, have all the problems been resolved? Not yet," he said, referring to the caretaker menteri besar.
“That is why we have listened to the people's concerns and, InsyaAllah, we will further increase Sara for everyone in the near future,” Anwar was quoted as saying during a Pakatan Harapan rally.
Malaysia has expressed deep concern over recent Houthi threats to restrict or close passage through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
The Houthis are an Iran-aligned armed group in Yemen that has launched attacks on ships in the Red Sea and missiles towards Israel since the Gaza war began.
