
KOTA KINABALU: Universiti Malaya leads Malaysia's first tropical eucheumatoid seaweed restoration project in Semporna's Pulau Selakan to enhance marine ecosystem resilience.
The initiative, part of the international Seaweed-PROTECT project, involves several local partners, including Reef Check Malaysia and Sabah Parks.
Prof Dr Lim Phaik Eem stated that the project focuses on restoring wild populations and improving conservation practices.
