The 10 sacked executive councillors will have their statements recorded in Seremban.
According to a source close to the matter, their statements will be taken in Seremban.
“An officer from Bukit Aman will travel to Negeri Sembilan tomorrow. The former exco members are prepared to cooperate,” the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told FMT.
The source, however, refused to go into detail about the nature of the investigation, but did not deny the possibility that it was linked to the state’s constitutional crisis.
On Monday, the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, revoked the appointments of the 10 exco members with immediate effect.
The palace said the exco members were found to have breached their oaths of office and pledge of allegiance to the state ruler, which they took on Aug 7.
The revocation of the appointments came a week after the exco released a joint statement purportedly affirming Tuanku Muhriz’s removal as the state ruler.
On Thursday, menteri besar Ismail Lasim said the 10 sacked exco members, who he insists remain valid officeholders, had been barred from entering their offices.
He said he was informed that an order also barred them from carrying out their duties as exco members.
Earlier today, Attorney-General Dusuki Mokhtar said the revocation of the appointments of the exco members, seven of whom were from Umno, is valid. - FMT
