Sports school student dies, family alleges bullying

 Police have not confirmed allegations that the victim was assaulted in the school dorm or that a senior student was arrested.

PETALING JAYA:

A Form 2 student at a sports school in Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan, died yesterday, with his family claiming that the victim was assaulted by a senior.

A woman who claimed to be the victim’s aunt alleged that the student was beaten in the school’s dormitory and that a Form 4 student had been arrested.

Kuala Pilah police chief Mustafah Hussin confirmed the death and said the case is still under investigation, Sinar Harian reported.

“The post-mortem will be conducted at Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital, Seremban,” he was quoted as saying.

Mustafah nonetheless did not confirm allegations that the victim was assaulted or that a student was arrested.- FMT
