Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (MCBA) is investigating one of its officers stationed at KLIA Terminal 2 over allegations of misconduct and abuse of power.
This is after the agency became aware of a social media post claiming that an officer received RM100 via a QR code payment made to the officer's personal bank account last Saturday.
"The officer linked to the allegation has been summoned by the MCBA KLIA top management to provide a statement to assist in the investigation,” Bernama quoted MCBA KLIA Entry Point commander Safrie Zakaria as saying.
He said the netizen who made the allegation was contacted yesterday morning for more information, but the agency did not get a response as of 4pm today. - Mkini
