KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) seized goods from 11 stalls during a raid at the Selayang market on Saturday night, including several operated by foreigners.
DBKL said the operation targeted stalls selling fruits, vegetables, fresh produce and general goods.
Among the offences detected were operating without licences, foreigners operating stalls and obstructing public walkways.
It said four compound notices were issued to Malaysians for operating without licences and employing foreign workers without valid permits.
All seized goods and equipment were taken to DBKL's storage facility, it said in a Facebook post.
The joint operation was carried out with the police and the Selayang Municipal Council. - NST
