“No more huge pig farms now that BN won big in Johor,” Jamal’s logic

THE landslide victory for BN undoubtedly sent tremors into the PH camp, for it is seen as a precursor for things to come during the general election.

But to the logic of a certain individual, this victory will also send ripples into the pig farms in peninsular Malaysia.

Head of UMNO Sungai Besar division Datuk Seri Jamal Mohd Yunos is no stranger to controversy.

And in his previous post on Facebook dated 8 July, he stated that people who voted for PH in the Johor election are also voting for huge pig farms in peninsular Malaysia.

Jamal did not elaborate on his statement but it was likely a response to Bersama candidate for Perling, Boo Wei Han, who drew controversy recently for his remarks defending pig farming.

At a June 2026 ceramah, Boo questioned the forced closure of farms and the restrictions on the industry.

But Bersama isn’t PH. Did any PH candidate make any promise to open huge pig farms anywhere in Malaysia should they win big in Johor? Likely not.

Perhaps our fellow netizens have the answer in the comment section.

“The nickname Jamal Jamban suits you so well,” said Thinagar Paramasivam.

“What do we get by voting for you? Grilled fish?” another netizen said, mocking Jamal’s famed business, Restoran Sekinchan Ikan Bakar.

“PH didn’t ask us to eat pig. Those who eat, let them breed,” added Sree Nair.

“What is the problem with pig farms? If managed systematically, they can generate income for the people and the state,” wondered Rangga Rabit.

Then there was Hafiz Johari reminding Jamal of the terrible disease that he had just been cured from.

Note that Jamal was previously diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. He has since confirmed that he is now free of the late-stage cancer after a five-month battle for his life against the disease.

Jamal stated that the cancer, which was initially detected in his lungs before spreading to his brain and throughout his body, is no longer detectable in his system following intensive treatment.

Perhaps the disease or the effects of harsh medication was the reason behind his observation that pig farms will make a comeback should PH win in the election.

For now, Johor has elected a new government, the pigs appear blissfully unaware of the election results, and the rest of us are left wondering how pork ended up hogging the  political spotlight. All. The. Time.— Focus Malaysia
